Do you want to work in a specialist role where you are responsible for developing and coordinating fire and safety work within Primary Care Skåne? As a fire and safety coordinator, you will play a central role in ensuring safe, secure, and appropriate care environments for both patients and employees – today and in the future.

The position is located within the area of finance and property, which is part of the management at Primary Care Skåne. You will be part of the property unit and work closely with property coordinators, operational managers, and other functions within the region. Primary Care Skåne has approximately 3,500 employees and provides care throughout Skåne.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a fire and safety coordinator, you have an overarching and coordinating responsibility for fire and safety issues within the operations of Primary Care Skåne. You will work both strategically and operationally to develop, follow up, and quality assure the systematic fire protection and safety work (SBA).

Your role includes, among other things:

• Coordinating and developing the organization’s fire and safety work, including SBA and the work with physical protection, alarm, and access systems.
• Ensuring that legal requirements and regional guidelines are followed, and keeping routines and governing documents updated.
• Driving collaboration and development projects together with Regional Properties, security functions, and other administrations.
• Supporting and guiding the operations and property coordinators in fire and safety issues.
• Planning, implementing, and following up on training initiatives in fire and safety to strengthen the organization’s competence.
• Contributing fire and safety expertise in renovation and new construction projects, including risk assessments and proposals for measures related to physical security.
• Being responsible for incident management, focusing on reporting, follow-up, and driving improvement measures.
• Participating in the administration's crisis and preparedness work.
• Overall responsibility for the relationship with the contracted security provider as well as for the follow-up of contracts and delivery.

The main placement is in Lund, but the role involves work across Skåne, which means that travel is required in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with documented experience in fire and safety work, preferably from public operations or another larger and complex organization. You have good knowledge of legislation regarding fire protection and safety and are used to working systematically with fire protection work.

Additionally, you have:

• Relevant post-secondary education in fire, risk, safety, or other equivalent education.
• Experience with SBA, risk management, and incident processes, as well as a good ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Practical experience with alarm and security systems and preferably also with security and emergency response issues.
• Experience in planning and conducting training in the field of fire or safety.
• Knowledge of threats and violence as well as PDV issues (ongoing deadly violence).
• Good administrative skills and confidence in working with various systems and digital tools.
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• A valid B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in a politically governed organization, experience with construction or renovation projects, and knowledge of the special requirements of care environments.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and confident in your specialist competence. You have good pedagogical skills and can clearly and credibly support managers and operations in complex safety issues. Furthermore, you work independently but find it easy to collaborate and create good relationships. You are proactive and drive development within your area of responsibility while being responsive to the needs of the operations. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
